Prominent Indigenous Leader to Speak at the Climate Change Conference

Mary Simon, the first Canadian Ambassador for Circumpolar Affairs, former Chancellor of Trent University and current President of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami has agreed to discuss the effects of climate change on Inuit peoples at the Climate Change Conference on March 2nd. She will be speaking at 2:00pm in room GCS 117.

Climate Change Conference to be green-powered by Bullfrog!

As well as making the Climate Change Conference carbon neutral with Climate Care, Bullfrog Power will be supplying us with clean green energy! Bullfrog Power is Ontario's first green electricity retailer, injecting low-impact hydro and wind into the grid. 55% of Trent's energy is already powered by the hydro dams along the Otonabee, but now we are able to go step further and say no to the use of coal and nuclear for our energy needs.

Bullfrog has also contributed some gear for our raffle!

This event is intended to raise awareness about the most important issue of our time - climate change. The emissions created for this conference, after conservation efforts, are being offset by Climate Care, a UK-based company. This includes all transportation to and from the conference of everyone attending! In addition, Bullfrog Power will be supplying us with green clean energy!
